Monex Canada Inc. (“Monex Canada”), a specialist in commercial foreign exchange and part of the wider financial services group Monex S.A.P.I. de C.V. (“Monex”), a global investment-grade financial services institution, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dev Dabas, MBA, B. Comm, as its new Senior Vice President of Dealing & Sales for the Western Canada region.
Dabas brings a wealth of experience to the business, with over two decades of international experience in foreign exchange markets, specializing in designing and implementing advanced risk management strategies tailored to the needs of clients to effectively manage their foreign exchange exposures. Having effectively worked as an FX consultant for a number of years, Dabas has successfully managed foreign exchange services for a number of large corporations throughout his career.
With a proven track record in managing sophisticated hedging solutions for clients, Dabas joins Monex Canada from Corpay, where he was responsible for promoting and executing the firm’s risk management solutions. Other previous roles include Senior Vice President at Global Reach Canada, and Encore FX Inc., as well as a senior trading positions at Western Union Business Solutions and Custom House Currency Exchange.
An expert in financial and derivative solutions, along with a firm knowledge and expertise in global markets, Dabas holds certifications in Foreign Exchange, Capital and Derivatives Markets from both Canada and India. In addition, Dabas also has previous experience building innovative risk management technologies.
Evident in Dabas’ strong history of strategizing vital solutions for clients’ long-term success, this key addition to Monex Canada’s leadership team reaffirms its unyielding commitment to clients across the region, keeping their best interests at the forefront of its operations.
Working closely with Monex Canada’s CEO, Anil Sawrup, Dabas will assist in innovating and enhancing the business’ risk management services and driving sales in the thriving market. Prioritizing growth and strengthening Monex Canada’s regional presence, Dabas brings Monex Canada’s reach to the Western territories, unlocking key opportunities for the business’ continued expansion across the nation and beyond.
