Last month, Monex Europe employees took on London’s tallest, toughest, tower-running challenge known as Vertical Rush.

3 teams from Monex Europe joined over 1,200 runners on the 14th March in scaling the iconic Tower 42 to raise money for the Shelter charity.

The Monex Europe teams raised an outstanding £3,530, absolutely smashing the company target of £3,000.

This money raised went towards helping Shelter campaign in their aim to end homelessness and improve social housing conditions.  Monex Europe are proud to have supported a charity that works hard to improve peoples lives.

Vertical Rush is Shelter’s flagship fundraising event.  One of our runners, Ignacio Lizarraga, who is the Country Manager for Monex Europe in Spain, came an impressive 21st overall out of 1,248 runners.  The runners were challenged to race up a total of 932 steps over 42 floors of one of London’s tallest buildings as quickly as possible.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the Vertical Rush experience and are proud to have raised money for such an important cause.  Our team are always looking to push boundaries and limits for the greater good beyond our working day.  We will be sure to take part in 2020 and encourage others to do so.
